JASON KRUG, Clinician

Jason W. Krug (b. 1978) is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana.  He holds a degree in music from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  Jason is a full-time freelance composer, arranger, clinician, and teacher. Since his first publication in 2006, he’s had over 150 compositions and arrangements accepted for handbells, piano, strings, choir, and organ.  His works have been featured at festivals and workshops in the United States and beyond.  In his spare time, Jason enjoys writing fiction, and has spent several years working on a young adult fantasy series, The Sadonian Chronicles. He also frequently participates in the National Novel Writing Month event in November.
 Jason continues to live in Indianapolis with his wife Ellen, his son Daniel, and his feline creative consultants Marcus and Susan.

GREIG ASHURST, Intermediate Track Conductor, Instructor

Greig is a music educator, church musician, percussionist, and handbell conductor. He earned a Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting from the Meadows School of the Arts at SMU. He is well-known as a dynamic, vibrant, and personable conductor and clinician, and has conducted, taught, and performed at innumerable music festivals and events. His line of specialty handbell mallets are sold by Schulmerich, Inc.

STEVIE BERRYMAN, Special Guest Instructor

Stevie Berryman is Artistic Director of the Houston Chamber Ringers. She is the Director of Handbells at Kinsmen Lutheran Church and assists with the fourth grade chimes choirs at Hassler Elementary School. She has a particular passion for teaching children how to ring, and her innovative methods have made her a sought after educator at handbell festivals. When not in rehearsal, Stevie teaches music at Kinsmen Children’s Academy. Stevie also plays violin and piano, and especially enjoys those times she can perform with her husband Paul, and their children Evan and Portia.
